Paste the text from Quizlet’s Export box, or a CSV from a spreadsheet, and download a file Anki imports with the separator, note type and tags already set. It runs in your browser, so nothing is uploaded and there is no account to make.

The converter works out the separator on its own for the usual cases: Quizlet’s default tab, a comma or semicolon CSV, and lists written as term - definition. If the preview shows the whole line on the front, set the separator yourself.
Getting the text out of Quizlet
Quizlet only lets the person who made a set export it, and only on the website. Log in, open Your library, then Flashcard sets, and open the set. Click the more menu (the three dots), choose Export, leave the arrangement as it is, and click Copy text. Paste that into the box above.
Two limits come from Quizlet, not from this page. A set you copied from another user cannot be exported, and images are not exported at all; Quizlet’s help page on exporting says so. If a term or a definition runs over several lines, pick a custom separator between rows in Quizlet’s export box, such as ####, and choose the same one here under Between cards.
From a spreadsheet or a CSV file
Save the sheet as CSV from Numbers, Excel or Google Sheets and drop the file on the page, or paste the rows straight in. The first column becomes the front and the second the back. Anything in later columns is added to the back, so nothing is lost.
Quoted fields are read the way spreadsheets write them, so a definition with commas inside it stays in one piece. A first row that just says Front and Back, or Term and Definition, is treated as a header and skipped.
Importing it into Anki
In Anki, choose File, Import and pick the downloaded .txt file. Anki 2.1.54 and later read the header lines at the top, so the tab separator, the note type, the tags and Allow HTML in fields arrive already set. Check the preview and click Import.
The deck name is only applied if a deck with that name already exists, so create it first or choose it in the import window. Older versions of Anki ignore the header: set the separator to Tab, tick Allow HTML in fields and pick the note type by hand. The Anki manual’s text import page has the rest.

What does not come across
Only text moves. Images never leave Quizlet, and neither does audio, your starred terms or your study progress, because none of that is in the exported text. Anki starts every card as new and schedules it from there.
Formatting inside a term is kept as plain text: angle brackets and ampersands are escaped, so a term that happens to look like HTML shows up exactly as typed.
Cards from what you actually read
A borrowed set is a good start, and the words you met yourself stick better, because you remember where you met them. If you read on a Mac, LeafyApp builds that deck as you go: press ⌥A, box a word on the screen, and it is saved with the sentence around it. It can send each word to Anki as you save it, or export the lot later.
Can you convert Quizlet to Anki? Yes. Export the set as text from Quizlet's website, paste it on this page and download the Anki file. Anki 2.1.54 or later imports it with the note type already chosen.
How do I import a CSV into Anki? Use File, Import in Anki and pick the file. To skip the field mapping, paste or drop the CSV here first: the file you download carries the separator and note type in its header.
Why is there no Export option on my Quizlet set? Quizlet only lets the creator export a set, and a set copied from another user cannot be exported. Export is on the website, under the more menu of the set.
Does it keep Quizlet images? No. Quizlet's export does not include images, so there is nothing for any converter to pass on. Only the text of each term and definition comes across.
Is the text uploaded anywhere? No. The cards are split and the file is built in your browser, and nothing is sent. The page works offline once it has loaded.
Bring the set over. Let Anki do the spacing.
